The stairwell fight in Atomic Blonde looks like one continuous take. It is not. It took 12 days to shoot, dozens of hidden cuts, and the stunt coordinator physically running the camera up the stairs because Leitch needed someone who could take a fall mid-shot.

Charlize Theron did 99% of it herself. She trained four hours a day for three months in Budapest, and her sparring sessions included Keanu Reeves, who was across town prepping John Wick: Chapter 2.

She cracked two teeth clenching her jaw during training. Root canals, a dental implant. At CinemaCon she said it directly to Leitch: 'I'm on my fourth root canal. Thanks, David.'
