Guadagnino was playing "Visions of Gideon" through an earpiece as the camera filmed Chalamet. That is the same song playing over the scene. Chalamet was hearing it in real time.
The fire scene was filmed on the second-to-last day of a 33-day shoot. It rained on 28 of those days. The golden Italian summer light you see was mostly built by cinematographer Sayombhu Mukdeeprom using artificial lighting.
Chalamet also genuinely plays all the piano in the film. The last time they'd touched the instrument was a decade earlier. Six weeks of daily coaching with an Italian composer before cameras rolled.
