Disclosure Day is in theaters from Universal and Amblin. Steven Spielberg directed it. David Koepp wrote the screenplay. It opened June 12.
A covert government agency called WARDEX has hidden evidence of extraterrestrial contact for 50 years. A former tech employee steals an artifact and goes on the run with a woman who begins developing mysterious abilities. Emily Blunt plays Margaret. Josh O'Connor plays Daniel. Colin Firth and Colman Domingo also star.
80 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The Hollywood Reporter calls it Spielberg's spellbinding return to what he does best. Blunt is described as breathtaking and never more magnetic.
Before you go, watch Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The DNA is unmistakable. Same awe, same government paranoia, same belief that wonder is the right response to the unknown.
It has been two weeks. It is still the best thing in theaters. Go before it's gone.
