The Mandalorian and Grogu is still in theaters. Jon Favreau directed this feature version of the Disney+ show, opening May 22 with Pedro Pascal and a cast that has no business being this assembled.

Critics gave it 61 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences gave it an A minus. The plot: Din and Grogu take a New Republic job to rescue Jabba the Hutt's son from a gladiator pit. The story is thin. The details are not.

Sigourney Weaver plays a New Republic colonel. Jeremy Allen White voices the Hutt. Martin Scorsese appears as an Ardennian shopkeeper. That is a real casting choice that happened.

If you watched the show, the film delivers exactly what you came for. Catch the first season of The Mandalorian on Disney+ first if you need the context.

The cast list alone is worth the ticket.
