Scene from Pressure (2026), the WWII thriller starring Andrew Scott and Brendan Fraser

Pressure opened May 29 and is still in theaters. You may have missed it.

The film is not about the beaches. It is about James Stagg, the meteorologist who had to tell Eisenhower whether the weather was right to launch. Andrew Scott plays Stagg. Brendan Fraser is Eisenhower. Kerry Condon and Damian Lewis are also in it.

Critics gave it 87 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences gave it 95.

If you like WWII films but want something that feels like a chamber piece rather than a battle epic, this is the one.

Watch All of Us Strangers first, to understand what Andrew Scott can do.

Everybody knows the beaches of Normandy. Nobody knows the man who had to predict the weather for it. That is the whole movie.
