Amy is a grocery store shift manager who befriends Maika Monroe's character, Kenna. The two form the emotional center of the film. This is not a cameo. Wilson is not asked to carry the movie. She is asked to make it feel real, and she does.
Colleen Hoover co-wrote the screenplay with Lauren Levine and produced the film. She wrote this adaptation herself.
