Sam Raimi directed Rachel McAdams in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022. After the shoot wrapped, he said she had been "underutilized." He promised himself he would work with her again.

Send Help is that film.

McAdams plays an employee stranded on a remote Thai island with her difficult boss after a plane crash. The film shot on Ko Hong, an actual island between Krabi and Phuket. Raimi's whole point was keeping the audience uncertain about what comes next. "It turns left when they think it's gonna turn right," he said.

If you've missed what McAdams can do as a lead, this is the one. People on Backlot just picked it up.
