Seoul Station is playing at IFC Center July 13 through 22 as part of NYAFF's Yeon Sang-ho spotlight.

This is the animated prequel to Train to Busan. Same director, same outbreak, earlier in the timeline. Yeon Sang-ho made this before the live action film, tracing the zombie spread back to its origin at the station. It is darker and more political than Train to Busan. The animation gives him room to be brutal in ways the live action film could not.

If you have seen Train to Busan and want to understand where it came from, this is the film. If you have not seen Train to Busan, start there first.
