The Floaters opens in New York July 10. Rachel Israel directed it. Jackie Tohn plays Nomi, a musician who takes a job at her old Jewish summer camp.

The Floaters are the misfit campers who don't quite fit anywhere. Nomi is assigned to them. Aya Cash plays the rabbi. Seth Green shows up as the director of the rival camp.

Critics are divided. The humor is specific in a way that will hit or it won't.

For anyone who went to sleepaway camp and knows what it means to be a floater.

Before you go: Wet Hot American Summer. 2001, David Wain. Still the one to beat.
